What this website processes

This website, tribe.one with Journey at journey.tribe.one, has no user accounts, cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Its one form is Journey’s subscribe box (see “Journey by email” below). Fonts and images are served from our own domain; no third-party content is loaded when you open the page.

When you visit, our hosting provider processes the technical data every web request carries (in particular your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser’s user agent and the referring page) to deliver the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, which processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Where data is transferred to the United States, the transfer is based on the EU standard contractual clauses in that agreement. The request logs available to us are kept for one day.

Journey by email

When you subscribe on journey.tribe.one, we keep your email address, the time you subscribed and the page you did it on, and your name and company if you give them (both are optional). Nothing else: no IP address, no cookie.

We use your address for one thing: to send you an email when something new appears on Journey (essays, films, events, and what others write about us). Your name and company, if you give them, tell us who is reading and let us address you by name; we use them for nothing else.

We do this on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 174 TKG 2021). We first send you one email asking you to confirm your address; until you confirm, we send you nothing else.

Your address is stored in a database that Turso runs for us in the European Union, under a data processing agreement. The website itself is hosted by Vercel, as described above. The emails are sent from our community platform, through a provider that works for us under a data processing agreement.

We keep your address until you unsubscribe. If you do not confirm it within 30 days of our email asking you to, we delete it.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, with the link in every email or by writing to launch@tribe.one. Withdrawing does not affect what was lawful before.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise them, contact launch@tribe.one. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).
